Designed to improve and streamline visual inspection to validate proper assembly, the LYNX System enables manufacturers to automatically verify that all components are present and installed correctly. This prevents quality escapes and supports consistent quality throughout the manufacturing process.
LYNX V2 software has been developed with simplicity and ease of use in mind by providing new tools to enhance the Augmented Reality capabilities of the LYNX2 hardware. Assembly workers can now follow guided work instructions which use photos and text (with distortion compensation) to provide clear visual references throughout the assembly process.
These new capabilities boost the value of LYNX system as it now provides efficient dual-path quality improvement for manufacturers of aerostructures and other complex assemblies. Quality is assured through 1) preventing assembly errors with guided assembly, and 2) eliminating quality escapes through reliable detection.
The inspection side of the solution for reliable detection of assembly errors has also improved. The new LYNX software includes an AI Wizard to automatically define regions of interest for automated inspection, making it easier to configure inspections and improve workflow efficiency.
To provide greater flexibility, the LYNX V2 software includes an API and offers the option of a shared database, allowing the system to adapt to the operational requirements of different users.
With these software enhancements, the LYNX System continues to provide manufacturers with an efficient solution for inspecting large and complex assemblies while offering greater flexibility and ease of use.
